R8 Gordini R1134 of Lennart Andersson.

My father is restoring a 1134 R8 Gordini, with my help. It'll be a nostalgic trip for him. He had one Gordini 30 years ago. We build it as a rally car, Historic class, appendix K(FIA).

The car is from -65, number 501 563. The car was bought 1 december -65 in Laxå, Sweden by Gunnar Nordqvist. It have been, I think, 4 owner of the car before my father.

The car haven't been used since -74/75. The engine and the gearbox have been restored by Berg Racing, Yxtaholm, Sweden. My father bought the car in october/november 2000. When we picked up it, it was just in pieces. The chassi on one wagon and all the other parts on one.

We have offer many hours cleaning, painting, put it togeter and so on. We plan to be ready with the painting in the summer and be able to join the big Renault meating in Eskilstuna, Sweden in the late august, when cars from france will show up, as I have heard.(Maybe you'll come?)

I'm sending you some more photos of my father's (Lennart Andersson) Gordini.

Now it is just the white stripes and some details like the wheels that isn't ready.

If you have any idea where we can get some good wheels (13" or 15" * 4,5" alu or steel) from, we would be thankful.

The man in the picture standing next to an R4 Fourgonnette is Arne Berg from Berg Racing, he did the engine and the gearbox on my fathers car.
