R12 Gordini of Jukka Suvisalmi

As an addition to his two R8 Gordinis, Jukka Suvisalmi has now acquired a third Gordini, a Renault 12 G. Seems like he's determined to collect the entire Gordini range! ;-)
The R12G is from 1972 and is fitted with a 807-G engine (1596cc), 160 bhp SAE. The car did 6 rallies in 1972 after which it was unregistered and converted to ice racing. Since then it's been raced more or less unregularly. It has never been in an accident, never seen any road salt and there's virtually no rust (except for the doors). Respraying isn't necessary, but... After acquired, the car was polished 4 times with Auto-Glym products and Jukka is very pleased with the end result. Two of the pics are taken after polishing. R12 Gordini R1173 Chassis no: 9801416 Oval plate no: 2551 Country no: 146=Norway, for some odd reason(?) many Finnish R12s are 146s Engine type: Renault Gordini 807.G Engine no: 105 Jukka is trying to track the car's history, but hasn't yet been able to confirm if this engine was in the car when it left the factory in '72. The 807-G was available as a tuning kit, which was installed to a standard 807-20 engine. The power increase was from standard 113 bhp to appr. 160 bhp (SAE). But Jukka was told that this 807-G was assembled and installed to the car from new by Renault in France. In fact he has read somewhere that about 10% of all R12 Gordinis were fitted with the 807-G from factory. Could this be true? The engine plate does look very "official"... It seems there are three possible scenarios of how the 807-G got into the car: 1. The 807-G engine assembled and fitted into the car by factory when new 2. The 807-G engine assembled by Renault-Gordini, but ordered afterwards and installed in Finland 3. 807-G tuning kit ordered to Finland and fitted to existing 807-20 engine (but why the engine plate?)
